Georgia Bioenergy Center
We preserve the land and waterways that are important to the community while supporting the industries that Georgians rely on. Through the power of commercial-scale anaerobic digestion we turn organics into a renewable biogas energy source and a beneficial soil amendment.
We create well paid technology jobs.
We advance the regional economy.
We help sustain the local environment.
We foster agricultural innovation.
We partner with local business to offer a sustainable solution to their liquid and solid organics from food food production.
This will position Gainesville, Georgia as industry-leaders and a national example for sustainability.

Benefits of Anaerobic Digestion
Environment
Anaerobic digestion (AD) addresses the economic and environmental challenges of organics management. This is done by diverting organic materials away from landfills, incinerators, and land applications. This reduces agricultural runoff, and reduces the release of greenhouse gases (GHG).
Economy
We take a more holistic approach by providing market analysis, product feasibility, permitting, financing, construction, facility management, and operations so that multiple types of organic material can be managed for maximum utilization and resource recovery.
Energy
The gas created through the AD process comes from a constantly replenished source of liquid and solid organics, which would otherwise add to the problem of methane emissions. Biogas can replace fossil fuels in our already existing infrastructure to power our homes, businesses, and vehicles more sustainably.
